Support this local business!!! The staff is so warm and friendly, the food is local comfort fare, and the pies!! Got takeout chicken cutlet, 2 chocolate cream pies and bread. Bread! So ono.

Breakfast place early in the morning. Fried rice special with hotdog is the go to. For under $10 and it comes out really fast...that's all I could ask for...well that and a cheeseburger and a piece of pumpkin pie. The pie...it was staring at me so I had to pick it up. Four stars because I felt the hamburger patty was a bit mushy and not mid firm to my liking. But it was still good.

Really good greasy spoon with local favorites. Prices still reasonable. Had the loco moco (yum) and cheeseburger and fries (tasty).

Went there two days in a row. I had the chicken long rice. It was made just how I like it. They used chicken thigh pieces instead shredded chicken. Taste was ono and good sized portion. The next day, I had the loco moco. I normally judge my Hawaiian restaurants by how they make their Loco Moco. The gravy was very good. Maybe a touch too salty for me, but very good. The patty was handmade and good-sized. Put all together in a good-sized bowl of rice and eggs, it was one of the better loco mocos I've had in a long time. My wife and friend loved their corned beef hash breakfast. The girls loved their banana pies so much that they bought pies to take on the flight home. However, I did think the blueberry cream cheese was a little too soft. But I still devoured my share of pieces from the pie. Staff was really really friendly and helpful. The place was clean. I definitely would come back here again.

Wow! When I get off the bus to walk to work, I can smell the scent of frying bacon in the air.... yuuumm! I've had incredibly too good self-control not to have stopped in sooner. I did use to go to Sunnyside regularly, but I hadn't checked out Tanya's yet. I got the fried rice plate with meat choice, BACON, and 2 eggs over-easy. Can we say bacon? A mound of bacon, nice and crispy! This is why my co-worker and I would order a plate with extra eggs to spilt. The rice and bacon portions are definitely enough for sharing. I did not order ahead and waited just a few minutes for my order to be ready (otherwise, I would have more pics to share!). I was prepared with cash to pay. That's another reason I hadn't spotted in sooner because I don't always carry cash. But they take Credit card and ApplePay now! Broke da mouth as the saying goes! When I broke into the second egg, I noticed the yolk was so orange. I'm wondering if they use local eggs from Petersons Upland Farms. I need to ask next time I stop in. Because now that I have broken that flood gate I know I'll be coming here more! I also had to grab a pie to go to share with my coworkers. I've had all their delicious choices over the years but decided on a peach pear today! Fast, local, quality food!

I had the teri mahi mahi with fried rice. I bought a bag of calamansi for $3 and a can of POG. I ate my plate of food like a starving animal. It was erotic and primal. Like Adam, the first man, gazing out across God's majesty as he laid pipe in the garden of Eden for the first time. Everyone stared in horror and whispered, "why does that haole have a boner?!!" But if they'd just take one bite then they'd know exactly why I had a boner at Tanya's Pie and Grill: "Food so good that you'll get a boner"
